In cleaning agents, it is also used as a suspending agent and thickening agent. In the pharmaceutical industry, it is used as a base for ointments, emulsions, ointments, lotions and suppositories. This product can also be reacted with acrylic acid to synthesize esters to increase its reactivity. It is the main monomer raw material for preparing polycarboxylate high-efficiency cement superplasticizers.
