Performance and purpose

MES is an anionic surfactant derived from natural palm oil.

MES has hydrophobic groups with carbon chain distribution ranging from C16-C18, which makes it excellent in various washing applications such as daily necessities washing and textile washing.

Product characteristics

1. Derived from renewable resources of natural raw materials, with good biodegradability, it is an environmentally friendly product;

2. Mild performance, less irritating to the human body than alkylbenzenesulfonic acid;

3. Low oral toxicity, actually non-toxic to organisms;

4. Good washing performance, maintaining good washing performance in both cold and hard water. The cleaning power in soft water is higher than that in sulfonic acid, but the difference is more obvious in hard water, which is one of the main weaknesses of sulfonic acid;

5. Good compatibility, suitable for compounding with other surfactants, with obvious compounding effect, and when used in formulas, maintaining enzyme activity is better than alkylbenzenesulfonic acid;

6. Has excellent solubilization ability, which is twice that of LAS and AS under the same conditions;

7. Foam performance is good, C12-14 carbon MES is basically the same as other surfactant foam performance;

8. Calcium soap is well dispersed and suitable for adding and modifying soap and soap, which can reduce the formation of soap scale;

9. Good phosphorus free performance. In the absence or reduction of sodium tripolyphosphate additives, the performance of sulfonic acid decreases significantly, but MES still maintains good performance, suitable for the production of phosphorus free and low phosphorus environmentally friendly detergents;

10. Experiments have shown that lower concentrations of MES exhibit the same detergency as higher concentrations of sulfonic acid. Under the same conditions, the detergent formula containing MES still has higher detergency than the formula containing sulfonic acid, while reducing the amount of effective substances used. Its cost-effectiveness is much higher than traditional LAS, which is beneficial for reducing costs and reducing the impact of washing wastewater on the environment.

The application scope of MES】 

1. Furniture care and washing products, such as laundry detergent, liquid detergent, tableware detergent, floor cleaner, multifunctional cleaning products, etc;

2. Textile industry detergents, such as soaping agents, refining agents, degreasing agents, etc;

3. Leather chemicals, such as leather degreasers, fatliquors, etc;

4. Flotation agents in mineral flotation;

5. Solubilizer in oil-in-water system;

6. Rubber industry.

Storage and transportation packaging

70% MES products are packaged in plastic drums (lined with plastic bags), with a net weight of 160kg; 80% MES is packaged in woven bags (lined with plastic bags) or paper packaging, with a net weight of 25kg.

Barreled and bagged products should be stored in a cool and ventilated warehouse, protected from sunlight and rain, and kept away from sparks and heat sources.

Shelf life: 

Under normal packaging and storage conditions, the shelf life is one year from the date of product packaging.
