Sorbitan esters series
Sorbitan ester is in the form of white or yellowish wax, flakes, or powder (≥100 mesh). It is soluble in hot ethanol, ether, methanol and carbon tetrachloride, slightly soluble in ether and petroleum ether, and can be dispersed in hot water. It is a w/o type emulsifier with strong emulsifying, dispersing and lubricating effects.
